Deleting the map from your computer won't do anything. It's not the map. I find it annoying when all the idiots online keep telling people to delete it.
It actually does work. Everyone in the game must have it deleted or they ALL will crash. I have proof that I will post here soon enough.
Completely untrue. I downloaded the map when it first came out. I have had the crash issue but never once have i deleted the map. Only one game out of six have I dropped from today today the DC. I have dropped from all non auto-hosted matches. The only auto-hosted game I dropped from was the apem bot, but that was after playing successfully on it twice. I believe there is a third party software that is interfering with the games here. To back this up . . .
1. The map does not effect DC, i explained this earlier and there is no relation to the map and disconnecting.
2. Multiple maps have the same DC effect, not just DotA.
3. No new WC3 patches have been implemented, so it should not be a Battle.net issue.
4. DCClient users still drop.
5. This is an interesting one. I got off work early this morning and all the games i played I had no issues. Once the day progressed, and multiple users began playing DotA, I started DC'ing a lot more frequently. Early in the morning people are usually just booting up their comps and starting warcraft, thus there were no "worms," one could say. After the player base expanded through the day, the worm spreads through the playerbase, whoever carries it.
This isn't a concrete fact, but all the information does point at a third party intervention. Nothing else seems to fit the picture. Also, if it were within the bots/maps/b.net, would we not have found it already? This problem has persisted for quite a while now. Another thing I can say is, I've played matches BEFORE the latest map was introduced where I experienced this DC. It was very infrequent, not enough to take major note of because it was not at all frequent. Like I said before, third party.
