So the bots are down and DC caters to a lot of people of all ages. I am curious as to why I can not find any information from the website on why these bots are down and yet at the same time I am the only one posting about it in the forums. So my question is in two parts.
1.) Why are the bots down?
2.) Why are others not bitching? Why am I the only one, what have I missed that everyone else is seeing?
3.) Where is that surprise for today?

The bots do crash every once in a while. It happends, trust me ur not the only one. when the bots crash they rarely update the site telling everyone why, it usually gets fixed fast & then there is some explanation after. ohh and we also have a technical support board for things like this.. http://www.dotacash.com/forums/technical-support/ |

Really? A-Fucking-Gain? Can someone stop fixing this issue with gum and paperclips and do it properly? Having the bots/game list break/fail EVERY NIGHT its getting a little depressing.

Our apologies for not updating you guys on the bot status, but unfortunately we (the staff) often don't have any more information than you do. hbjlee17, the site founder and owner, is the only one that manages the bots, and since he works another job during the day, he can't attend to bot issues until he gets home in the evening.

Don't think he was really raging, and if he's a supporter I think he's entitled to ask a few questions. I know I get tired of it. Like why is there only one custom bot now?

Thank you for that very informative post. Seeing as you are an admin I hop what I am about to suggest does not fall on deaf ears. I would really like to see some improvements with the communication from the DC staff and its players on the status of the current situation. Maybe sepereate an entire subforum to the current status the the bots that any mod can edit so that we the players can understand what is going on behind the scenes. some times I have a few hours to kill and other days I have an entire day. I would love at least some kind of ETA as to when the bots went down to the time they may be back up. === No I am not QQ'ing. I wish people would not try and troll some one who takes the time to spell out their words and make a post that seems like it had a slight bit of thought put into it. I can understand trolling an idiot though. |

Bots are just glitchy I guess. I don't know much about servers and whatnot but sometimes hardware just fails to work as intended to  I rather have dotacash than to go back to the port-forwarding days.. |

Additionally, in almost all cases we don't have an ETA. If a bot is down, it will be reset/repaired whenever hbj gets home from his day job and has the time to check up on the servers (varies depending on the day of the week, usually doesn't happen until late evening). |
