Not sure if this has been posted before but how do you guys feel about being able to speak in pubs in DotA 2??? Honestly it reminds me of when I used to play Unreal Tournament 2004 back in the day and people used to talk SOOOOOOOOOO much shit lol. But then again it was really entertaining when I was little, I find it hilarious sometimes when people rage on the mic, but its actually starting to get really annoying. Yeah I understand you can mute people, but do you think people should be able to do it anyway?
Ohhh and the worst ones are the people who dont even realize they have a crappy mic.. then you try to tell them and alls you hear is KJSN KSDFNSDKF SMLKFASD KFSL FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSDLFM SDKLF JSDLKF MSDFSDMFLSMKS.

Ye I agree... some people just think by talking through a mic, they're automatically pro lol. They'll rage at you if you say anything bad about their gameplay... I turned my voice chat off after some guy kept moaning for no reasons... weird I know...

I'm pretty sure I made some kid quit dota the other day I flamed him so hard. He played top lane "support" invoker going wex lvl 1, quas lvl 2, wex lvl 3, invoke lvl 4, and asking "what do I get guys" all game. I've been permanently banned and then re-added to the beta by getting another key through the survey. I think someone at Valve had a soft spot for me or I got insanely lucky. More recently I've been voice/text chat muted and put in low priority matchmaking for a week because of being too "abusive" or w/e. It was a global mute, I couldnt talk in private channels, in game (private or pub), etc. I could still use steam chat tho, that was nice. So. That's how I feel about being able to voice chat  |

Playing with a mic is like nothing that I expected. People are generally good sports and friendly. The people who get on and rage and talk trash are simply muted and ignored.
I have to confess that I am pleasantly surprised. IDK if playing DotA 1 on vent is as cordial. I'll never know.

the hotkey to talk is whatever you want it to be because you can change the hotkeys in dota 2 easily
